Local Priorities General Update |
||
|
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Other issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. As the evenings become darker, please take a moment to consider your personal safety when out and about. Be aware of your surroundings and avoid distractions such as mobile phones where possible. Stick to well-lit, busy routes and let someone know your plans if travelling alone. Consider carrying a torch or using your phone in poorly lit areas. Drivers should take extra care for pedestrians, cyclists and other road users whose visibility may be reduced. Cyclists and runners are reminded to wear reflective or high-visibility clothing and ensure that lights are in working order. If returning home after dark, make sure doors, windows and vehicles are secure. If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.kent.police.uk, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
